A handsome and good quality late George III mahogany bureau, the fall having ebony line inlay and opening to reveal a fitted interior of drawers and pigeonholes, above an arrangement of four graduated oak lined drawers, and raised on club bracket feet.

Condition and Details of Restoration
This item is in untouched original condition, and has all the characterful old marks that might be expected on a piece of this age. It is structurally sound. The handles are early 19th century replacements the key and the locks have also been replaced at some point. Some of the blocks to secure the feet (not visible in normal use) have also been replaced, as is generally case on bracket feet of this age.
