This is a stylish pair of Mid-Century Sterling Silver Napkin Rings. Oval in shape, the rings have rolled rims, engine turned decoration around the bodies and blank cartouches, making them ideal as a gift or for enjoying life with a new owner.

The napkin rings are made in Birmingham by Broadway & Co, with one dating to 1953 and the other to 1955. Founded in the Edwardian period as W.I. Broadway & Co, the firm has been highly successful and is still making silverware in Birmingham today.

Condition is extremely good, with no dings, dents or damage and very little wear of any kind. These have clearly been well looked after for nearly 70 years. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

Each napkin ring is 4.9cm / 1.9ins long, 3.1cm / 1.2ins wide and 1.5cm / 0.6ins high. The pair together weigh in at 19.9g / 0.7oz of solid Sterling Silver.

The hallmarks on the ends of the rings are well struck and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letters D for 1953 or F for 1955 and the B & Co makers' mark for Broadway & Co.
