Superb quality late 19th.c. four panel folding screen c.1890. Four 25″ wide panels, standing 76″ tall, heavy solid walnut frames with crisply carved applied frieze to the top of each. Burgundy baize inserts over attractive tapestry in the base, both fixed in place with a gilded moulding. The two large and original brass handles and the bi-fold hinges allow the screen to be configured as required. Some minor wear and a couple of very small holes to the baize but generally very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops
