We are offering this lovely 19th Century portrait oil on canvas by an unknown artist, in the Pre-Raphaelite style. The subject is a very attractive young woman with luxuriant flowing titian hair and brown eyes, who is wearing an emerald green dress with a square neckline.

Please note that any white marks in the top of the hair in the photographs are light catching the brush strokes in the paint and not imperfections or missing paint.

Unfortunately, as the painting is unsigned and there are no notations to the back of the canvas, or the stretcher, we can offer no biographical information on the artist or the sitter.

The painting is framed in a more contemporary 3 3/4" ornate swept gilt frame and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Frame size: 23 3/8" x 19 3/8" - 59.4cm x 49.2cm

Medium: Oils on canvas

Condition: Very good. There are two repairs to the canvas, which is clean and taut. The frame is in very good condition.
