A very attractive and substantial 19th century oak and malachite chess table.

The entire top is formed of malachite with painted black chequers and border, and decorative scroll designs to each end. The top sits upon a solid oak support above a canon barrel stem, tripod support and cabriole legs.

aThere are signs of wear commensurate with age to the top and there is slight gapping to the leg joints in places but this in no way affects the integrity of the table which is very sturdy and sits true.

A superb piece which would look outstanding as a lamp table or functional chess table.
