A fabulous 1940's combination powder compact with integral lipstick holder is marked Made in France. This compact has an intricately cut design in the gold tone metal which depicts a scene with palm trees, a camel and handler and buildings in the background. It has crescent shapes cut in the metal. These sit on a black background. Inside there is a compartment to put a lipstick and a powder well which has its original sifter and feather puff.

This unusual compact is in great condition throughout. The mirror is clear. There are a couple of tiny areas of tarnish on the lid to the powder well and underneath it and some light surface scratches. It closes with a firm click and is easy to open. It is stamped 'Made in France' just under the mirror.
