Great looking and we would assume a commission piece rather than a factory piece. This 1930s 2 door glazed bookcase is jolly good looking with its stepped top and bottom in a pleasing tone and grain of English oak. A very well made piece of good proportions.

The lead glass and oak doors open to reveal two adjustable shelves so plenty of space for books, bottles of your favourite tipple or for your collection of whatever you so desire.

Workshop report – The piece has enjoyed a careful hand polish and wax. The doors close fine and we have a working lock and key which is always a bonus. The little blue hearts on both doors do have fine hairline cracks which are secure, not an eye sore or particularly noticeable. It sits firm with no wobbles, no nasty marks or scratches and is ready to place. Expect a well-cared for bookcase.

A rather good piece of 1930s English Deco antique furniture.

When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. We try our best to deliver within 14 working days. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles and for World-wide shipping.

Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions

If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.

On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
