A beautiful and rare late 18th/early 19th century Welsh carved Lovespoon in Sycamore with pretty detailing. Featuring a twin caged handle containing two balls, well shaped bowl and intricate small details. The handle features a compartment with sliding lid which may have held a poem, lock of hair or meaningful keepsake. It features the full name John Philbrook carved to the handle in beautiful copperplate font.
In wonderful original condition, a superb example of rare design type.
