18thC Dutch Walnut Bombé Commode


18th Century Dutch Flame Walnut Bombé Commode, the chest is veneered on an oak carcass, it has an attractively scalloped top over 4 long graduated drawers with attractive somewhat exaggerated buttressing at the front corners.
The drawers have pierced brass escutcheons and brass oval plate handles and the commode stands on carved Hairy Paw feet with a urn decoration on the front apron .
There has been a little restoration to the underside of the top but nothing can be seen except on the inside, and one of the locks is missing otherwise the chest is in very good condition for its age. The brass handles are not original but the chest has Fabulous colour and shape!
