This Georgian antique oak dresser dates from around 1760 and is from the Llandovery, a market town in Carmarthenshire.
In such amazing original and complete condition with no later alterations.
Due to an unusual feature, this Welsh antique oak dresser can be pin pointed exactly in origin, to the Towy Valley.
The rack, has very wide ash backboards and is perfect for displaying a collection of pottery or kitchen ware.
The dresser base is in the pot board form with three drawers, all of which have the period back plate brass handles.
The three turned leg supports have a decorative, shaped apron which meets the legs.
All the oak timber is period, along with the cornice.
The unique feature on this Towy valley, Welsh oak dresser is the lobes that extend out about 6cm from the top of the base, only dresser from this area have that extra added detail.
In beautiful condition and the original colour is truly wonderful.
