18th Cent Mahogany Musical Long Case Clock

An impressive longcase clock with a 3 train musical movement. It chimes the quarters on a nest of 8 bells and strikes the hours on an additional bell. It also has a moon phase indicator to the arch (not currently connected) The dial is signed for Thomas Lister, Halifax. He worked there from 1760 to 1795
The case is in very nicely figured mahogany and has gilded glass panels to the hood.
The antique clock case and dial are 18th Cent but as with many of these musical longcase antique clocks the movement probably dates from the 19th Cent.
The movement is in good working order and keeping good time. It is fitted with a very nice set of brass cased weights.
The case is also in good condition and a lovely colour but does have a few knocks and marks consistent with age.
The maximum dimensions are:
221cm (87“) high, excl finials (+4cm)
58cm (23“) wide
28cm(11“) deep
Free local delivery (80mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.
