Charming little mid 19th.c. pine document chest with original paintwork featuring the number (presumably a date) 1844 handpainted in grey and black against a scumbled ground. Internal dimensions width 18″, depth 12″, height 10½”. Original hook and hinges. Obvious surface wear, otherwise very good condition.
