16th Century Tudor Oak Chest
An English Tudor period iron bound chest dating to the mid 16th century .
An extremely rare and important early English chest with raised panels to all sides , dry and untouched surface with a wonderful patina that has been built up over centuries ,
Small ancient repair to lid and old inactive woodworm holes . The chest retains its original iron work including carrying handles , locks etc
This chest was previously sold by a well known and respected UK specialist in English oak antique furniture ( details available on request )
