12 Seater Extending Dining Table c.1840.
Beautiful mid 19th.c. mahogany extending dining table c.1840. A little narrower than many such antique tables, and extending on a telescopic frame from 50″ to a maximum length of 135″ to seat 12 people. Solid mahogany top with four removable leaves of matched grain held in place with brass sliding clasps. Raised on six crisply turned legs each retaining their original large brass and white ceramic castors stamped for maker’s Cope & Collinson. Fantastic colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Very unusually the table is sold complete with the original mahogany and baize lined rack to hold the leaves when not in use.
