19th Century Caricature Valentine Letter Sheet

Description
A lovely 19th Century Letter Sheet Valentine of a Dandy, dating to circa 1830, with humorous rhyme below. This would have been sent as a Valentine, with predictably devastating results!The rhyme in full says……
You stupid vain conceited ass,
Why ogle with your quizzing glass,
I'm sure no damsel will incline,
To chuse you for her valentine.
The image has been placed in a card mount to protect it. There is still a trace of dealing wax to the reverse where it would have been sealed.
A wonderful piece of caricature from an era when they excelled at these things!

Items are normally dispatched within 7 days of you placing an order with cleared payment.
Standard Furniture Delivery
You should receive the goods 10 - 14 days after ordering, more time is required for delivery to the Far North and Scotland. The furniture is sent with small independent and friendly couriers, who take very good care of the furniture whilst in transit. Delivery is to the door, but with request the driver will normally assist into a secure place, house, garage, outhouses, etc.
Levels Antiques do not accept responsibility for any damage caused on the customer's premises when the delivery is being made.
Drivers mobile number available for liaising on day of delivery. Only one delivery attempt will be made with arrangements for the drop off being made in advance.

RETURNS
Here at Levels Antiques we abide by the distance selling regulations (updated 13/6/14).
You have the right to cancel your order within 48 hours.
Once item/s are delivered you have 14 days to cancel the order. Return of your purchase(s) must be within 14 days of this cancellation date.
The cost of the item/s and any delivery charge paid by the buyer will be refunded, whilst the cost of returning the item/s is at the buyers’ own expense.
