A stunning piece of Art Deco design by Paul Haustein. The plaque a bowl in shape is patinated in various lustrous colours. The bowl has been fire patinated with green patina, copper blackened and parcel-silvered to highlight the details which are then partly milled to the brass ground. The piece is Japanese in influence which was particularly popular as part of the Art Deco movement. The piece is in good condition, slightly dulled and on the reverse slightly worn. The bowl bares the full WMF Ikora mark and also some engraving. C.1930.
