Lath Back Windsor Chair - Elm - c1870

This Elm seated Windsor chair is a pleasing classic shape and is presented in good antique condition.

The chair has good seat width (48cm or 18.9") which combined with the shape of the lath back offers great comfort and therefore makes the chair an excellent choice as a regular daily use chair (see images for full dimensions).

The broad top rail is supported by nicely swept outer risers which terminate in a desirable turned bobbin.

The Elm seat plate and Elm arm rests display the grain and beauty of the wood superbly.

The chair rides upon double turned legs which are united by a double 'H' stretcher for maximum robustness and durability.

This chair will make a charming addition to any home and is an example which delivers great character and warmth. The chair is very comfortable and solid throughout.
