Circa 1840, William IV mahogany and brass bound writing slope. The top has brass quarter brackets and straps on the front and back. There are military style lifting handles on both sides, the left has a brass pin which when released reveals a velvet lined drawer. The slope itself opens to reveal a velvet lined interior with various drawers and compartments. There is a section held in position by a brass clip for letters, a pen slide and space for an inkwell. The colour and condition is excellent.
