Victorian Silver Plated Drinks Tray / Salver 1877
A wonderful Victorian silver plated serving salver or wine tray standing on four smart feet.
The side of the tray is pierced or reticulated with a beaded raised border both below and above.
The base of the tray is beautifully engraved and chased with a central armorial crest with a motto below "Superatus Ast Invictus" meaning "But overcome undefeated".
The underside is lucky enough to have an English design registration diamond shaped lozenge allowing us to date the registration of this design to 30th May 1877. The makers mark is also present for Thomas Bradbury of Sheffield.
Just back from our silversmith's workshop where it has been professionally cleaned and polished. Excellent condition measuring 12" in diameter x 1 1/4" tall.
