Victorian Mahogany "Edwards and Roberts" Open Bookcase
Victorian Mahogany "Edwards and Roberts" Open Bookcase.
This Bookcase Stands Upon a Plinth Base with 2 Fully Adjustable Shelves.
Featuring Carved Decoration to the Uprights and Carved Corbels and Carved Moldings.
The Bookcase Carries a Paper Label with the Makers Name "Edwards and Roberts" and is also Stamped "Edwards and Roberts".
The Bookcase is Finished with a White Marble Top.
Presented in Good Condition.
Edwards & Roberts was one of the principal London companies working in the taste of the late 18th century. They started business in 1845 and by 1854 were trading as “Edwards & Roberts, 21 Wardour Street, Antique and Modern Cabinet Makers and Importers of Ancient Furniture”.
