A very handsome and very useful desk-top accessory, this wonderful desk tidy stands on four little bun feet. The oval tray is decorated with a decorated border. The cut glass inkwell sits in it's own cradle to the far right-hand side.

All the elements of the sterling silver are hallmarked for the highly collectible assay office of Chester and the year 1910, late Edwardian in era. The makers mark is also present for the silversmith, Stokes & Ireland Ltd.

Excellent condition the inkwell measures 1 3/4" square x 2" tall to top of silver hinged lid the tray measuring 10 3/4" x 2 7/8" wide.
