A handsome English Victorian tea caddy made from silver plate on copper, a very elegant design. The hinged lid has a lovely quality flush hinge and the lid crowned with a classical designed finial. The box is lucky enough to retain it's original working key.

Unmarked, the box dates to c.1880 with wear commensurate with age (copper showing though high points, as it should be). Excellent condition measuring 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 5" tall.
