Fabulous photographic portrait of Mademoiselle Coco Chanel by Shahrokh Hatami (born 1930), Iranian photographer. Hatami was both a personal and trusted friend of Coco and the photographer of her fashion creations from 1962 until 1969. In this position he had access to private moments, where the fashion designer, notorious for her control over the smallest detail, let her guard down and revealed a tenderness that was often hidden from the public. Mademoiselle is pictured here in her apartment 31 Rue de Cambon Paris, where she lived during the day then retired to the Ritz Paris every night to sleep. Image size 40 x 70 cm. Signed by Hatami lower right. In a super black lacquered frame.
