Rare George II Scottish Hand Chair

Circa 1830. A rare early Scottish mahogany hand chair, the raised and shaped top rail with rondels on the facings, a carved and pierced curvaceous splat, ribbed uprights with finely carved edges, with a drop in seat with rounded corners and a simple rail with visible peg dowels, the back legs slightly out swept finishing on a pad foot and cabriole front legs with solid quarter blocks finishing on a generous pad foot.
