A fine pair of late 19th-century French Empire style giltwood wingback armchairs. Elegantly carved with fluted legs, acanthus scroll arms, and floral rosettes to each corner. The shaped and winged backs provide a stately silhouette, richly upholstered in a soft floral damask with tones of ivory, rose, and sage. Retaining an attractive original gilded patina that enhances their decorative appeal. A comfortable and beautifully proportioned pair, perfect for a formal sitting room or bedroom.
