Very rare Ecclesiastical mount with typical blue enamel and dating around the 13th century. Showing a winged man - St. Matthew. These copper alloy mounts were riveted to a cross, this example being quite large and survived very well. Small bits of red enamel and a little gilding to the figure. Size - 5.5cm high x 5.7cm wide.
