Lenzkirch antique clocks are generally considered to be the finest of the German factories who consistently produced timepieces of outstanding quality during the last half of the 19th century / early 20th century.
This particular antique clock is illustrated in their catalogue as Model 776 and the serial number of 17661 dates the clock to 1913.
The 7 3/4 inch porcelain dial is in excellent condition and the 8 day weight driven gong striking movement is of excellent quality having solid plates and pinions with the very unusual visible escapement with jewelled pallets which allows the movement to be seen operating . The movement is in full working order .
The walnut veneered case has a lovely colour and is in an exceptional state of preservation The original finely carved pediment is also present. I would urge prospective buyers to look closely at the carvings and decoration on this elaborate clock and observe to quality and condition which is quite remarkable considering the age of this item.

The sides of the case are glazed with original glass

It is 58 inches in length (from the very bottom finial to the centre of the pediment) .The widest part is 18 1/2 inches wide .The maximum depth is 8 3/4 inches.
If the asking price is paid in full then I will have the movement professionally serviced deliver and set up the clock free of charge to the English mainland ,Wales and the Scottish lowlands .I will also provide a 12 months guarantee under these circumstances .This is the same service that is provided by a high street retailer without the customer having to pay for the overheads
