Leicester City FC R.U Division 1 Medal 1928/29

We have for sale a piece of Leicester City Football Club History, a silver and gold Leicester City FC Premier League Dev 1 Runners Up medal for the season of 1928-1929.
Leicester City FC were Runners up in Devision 1 in the season 1928-29 and were 1 point behind the Division 1 champions, Sheffield Wednesday (then known as Wedsday) for that season. Key players in the Leicester team included Ernie Hine, Arthur Chandler and Arthur Lochhead, all three players are still amongst the top goal scorers in the long history of Leicester City Football Club. The medal carries full Birmingham hallmarks for 1928, along with the makers marks for J A Wylie & Co. The medal does not carry an inscription for a specific player, so was obviously not allocated, and was probably a spare medal which has somehow survived.
The medal is 1 inch (2.5cm) in diameter and weighs 11.22g according to our scales. The medal is in a good condition, the inscription and the makers marks/hall marks can be easily read, but there is a small loss of enamel and some surface wear to the back.
