Stunning, huge pair of early Turkish Trabzon's, superbly decorated copper water jugs.
Very heavy & substantial.
The style of fabrication & very historic repairs would date them to circa early 1800's suggesting that these are good, early original pieces.
Whilst smaller jugs of the style are available and may have been copied from these earlier ones these are far beyond the size of anything that we have previously seen.
Lovely decoration to the heavy solid copper handles.
Wonderful that they have remained as a pair for all this time.
