High Ranking French Infantry presentation sword. Has a gilded brass hilt with a turned tortoiseshell grip. The double edged blade is finally etched and engraved with trophies of arms and presentation inscription. Also with some gilding at forte. The blade also has simulated watering. There are one or two areas of pitting to blade. Grip wire is missing and there is slight chipping to the grip. Folding guard is loose and not locking. Note there is no scabbard with this item.

Approximately 100cm overall and blade length 82.5cm.
