This is a good quality antique chess set with a fine set of hand turned and carved pieces in solid ebony and boxwood. The pieces are in excellent condition and have aged nicely, with a good colour and lovely patina. The board is a super quality malachite with the most fabulous figured grain with solid brass stringing. The board measures 33 cms in diameter and the King is 10 cms, pawns 5 cms in height.
