An unusual George II mahogany 2 fold games table. The solid mahogany top opens to a baised interior with counter wells and candlestick stands. The second leaf opens to reveal the very unusual walnut and boxwood inlaid chess and backgammon boards. The frieze compartment is opened via the brass ring handle and houses the pegged frame which slots around the backgammon board. The whole raised on 5 tapering turned legs with pad feet and gate leg action with hinged wedge for keeping either of the two tops level. Condition- Very good. Dimensions:- Height…28.75’’/ 73cm.
