French 1882 pattern Infantry Officers sword in its steel scabbard. Has a nickel plated cast brass three bar hilt with a brass wire bound ribbed horn grip. Double edged, fullered blade which is engraved with original owners initials, Lausanne Switzerland and various dates. Plated blade is marked Klingthal. One strand of grip wire is missing and some chipping to back edge of blade. But otherwise in good condition for age.

Approximately 104cm overall and blade 87cm.
