A wonderful and rare original signed etching by German artist Franz Hecker. Hecker is a curious and highly collectable artist, having studied at the Dusseldorf Academy of Fine Arts he continued his studies at Academie Julian in Paris. He returned to later to Germany in Osnabruck where he established himself as a successful artist until his death in 1944.

This etching of an old man smoking a pipe is one of his scarcer prints. The etching is hand signed in pencil by Hecker to the bottom right and is offered framed and glazed in an oak frame. The etching plate is 17cm x 12cm and the frame is 36cm x 27cm.

Condition

The condition is very good. There is some toning to the paper that would be expected of a print this age and a small amount of dirt behind the glass. We have a 14 day return policy. We accept returns if item is not as described or generally you are not happy with the item, buyer to pay return postage. Full refund of purchase price on safe return minus postage costs. This is only available within 14 days of receipt of the item.
