Fine English Mid 15thC Rondel Dagger
Stout armour piercing blade.
Bronze shoulder plate, turned bone hilt with small upper and lower rondels.
Fine escutcheon plate on top rondel in the form of the rose (War of the Roses?).
Very good, stable condition, stout blade, some small chips to the bone grip. Found in the Thames, London, June 1962. Professionally conserved.
Similar dagger in the Collection of the London Museum (Plate VIII, no.5, A.1773, 1940 Medieval Catalogue No.7)
