A highly decorated naval dirk “ midshipman’s small sword “ I would date this at around 1800 the cross guard gilt floral decoration of top quality , sharkskin handle copper wire bound terminating in a round cap. The blade highly decorated with floral decorations leaves and urns.slightly tapered curved blade narrowing to th point it still holds a good edge with no nicks or bends. The scabbard with three brass fittings re stitched back in the day with an old repair with two hanging rings. Overall a highly decorative sword a quality weapon with no expense spared.
