A late 19th century Victorian period cast brass door stop. With the rarer shorter handle, and it hasnt been cut down, these are often called door porters. This example has a cast iron weight molded inside the cast foot for stability. The shape is a griffins foot and the shank has feather style forms leading to the handle. It has nice genuine old patina. The item has normal wear and aged patina. And measures 18.2 cm high and 8.2 cm wide. It weighs around 2 kilos roughly. FREE P+P WITHIN THE UK ONLY
