A magnificent and rare silver plated champagne bucket with removable cover, made by the top notch French silversmith, Cailar Bayard of Paris, fully marked on the underside.

Cailar & Bayard, 37 rue Grange-aux-Belles, Paris, founded in 1848 by Noel Cailar and Pierre Bayard. The firm closed in 1934 and was taken over by the famous Maison Christofle.

Just back from our silversmith's workshop where it has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory dating to the Art Deco era, c.1920/1930.

Beautiful quality and condition spanning 9 1/2" handle to handle x 7 1/2" x 8" tall.
