Comprising a five rung high ladderback armchair with a double box stretcher which is not narrowed at the ends, it has small rounded feet on the front legs, stepped decoration on the tops of the front legs and finials all as per Philip Clissett's classic original design.
The wonderful turned arm supports are influenced by the Art Nouveau and Aesthetic movements. The high ladderbacks are also of the English Arts and Crafts style of chairs of the time.
