An American model 1860 Calvary troopers sword.
88cm approx single edged twin fullered curved blade in fair condition, some small nicks to blade edge and small areas of light pitting.
Helmet Pommel on Brass triple bar hilt with intact leather grip complete with all it’s twist wire. Some wear to leather. Leather washer in place, bit of movement on hilt.
Ricasso marked both sides - US C.E.W ( inspector?) 1865 one side, faint and worn but what looks like J Emerson and Silver the other. This would be the manufacturer who was based in Trenton, New York.
The Iron scabbard has two suspension rings and has a nice patina.
A nice probably used example of an iconic sword. Postage and packing included in price within main landUk unfortunately we do not ship outside main land UK.
