A beautiful 19th Century French Blonde Tortoiseshell and Silver/Gold Pique Work Cigar Box.This lovely Box is beautifully inlaid with Silver and Gold, it is Silk Lined to house, I believe, Cigars in one half and the other side are silk sections for aids to smoking. The lining is very delicate and the edges bound in what seem like very fine Leather,the Sections on one side are vulnerable but all there.Also includes a piece of French written Card which I am unable to fully translate, but seems to indicate it usage. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antiques Emporium,Lewes,E.Sussex and also The Arcade, The Corn Exchange,The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells..If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in either Shop.
