19th Century English Regency Gilt Decorate Chairs
Pair of 19th Century English Regency Gilt Decorated Chairs
A Pair of Early 19th Century English Regency Gilt Decorated Side Chairs.
These interesting chairs have a simulated rosewood painted finish, topped with lovely gilt painted designs. The backs decorated with cartouches and the uprights having designs which include stylised anthemions and harebells. The legs and three sides of the apron are also decorated with gilt designs. The uprights flow in to a raised section surrounding seats. The legs are of sabre form, a design classic from this period.
