19th C Police Brass Tipstaff, with turned wood handle with a hole for strap.
Its design and the crown shape would suggest most likely coming from the Georgian era or early Victorian.
Traditionally carried by Georgian Police in a small leather belt pouch, a tipstaff was sign or office and authority.
Showing some signs of use and age to the brass and wooden part.
Heavy item - 206g.
