A mid 20th century Globe Drinks Cabinet in fine condition. The 50cm globe opens to reveal an interior fitted out for bottles, glasses and ice. The bar revolves fully.
The globe is papered with a copy of a 1578 Italian map, beautifully hand drawn. The interior of the lid is a brilliance of Classical scenes.
The fine quality wooden turned stand gives this cabinet a rich antique appearance. The Globe and platform are made of an early plastic with a black and gold brushed finish. Missing only the inner liner for the ice bucket, this Globe Cabinet is in lovely, gently aged condition.Circa 1960
