This is an intricately inlaid Victorian tea caddy. The lid and the front have a Greek key motif circumnavigating those areas. Both the escutcheon and cartouche are made of mother of pearl. The interior has two lidded divisions. Each has an ebony knob and has coloured inlaid wood designs around the edges. The interior of the lid has the original purple silk lining. The box has a working lock and key.
