US Air Force Meritorious Achievement Medal
The US Air Force Meritorious Achievement Medal is awarded to recognise the contribution of junior officers or enlisted personnel who are not eligible to receive the higher awards of the Commendation Medal or Meritorious Service Medal.
Each military service awards its own version of this medal. The five military services, and consequently five versions of this medal, are Joint Services, Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corp and Coast Guard. This particular medal is the Air Force version.
The medal is not engraved to any named recipient.
The medal is full size and measures approximately 3.5 cm (1.5") in diameter.
