Unusual Trinity House Tea Caddy

An unusual named Trinity House 2 division tea caddy. The lighthouse named “GOODWIN” and inlaid with various woods including boxwood, walnut, satinwood and stained sycamore. The front, sides and back with Tunbridge Ware style tumbling block decoration. The hinged lid retaining the original marbled paper lining with 2 inlaid lidded tea compartments with foil linings. With working lock & key.
Trinity House boxes were made by lighthouse keepers while serving their time offshore to while away the time. Their nautical romantic theme have always made them very collectable and often sold to owners and Captains of the ships. Regular Trinity House boxes are relatively rare but it would be fair to say that named boxes a rare find.
