Thuret, Tortoiseshell Mantel Clock
A good quality and impressive French tortoiseshell mantel clock. Dark red ground to the case with side glass apertures. A glass front door panel to the gilded dial. Individual enamel numerals and a name plaque to the base signed 'Thuret'. Pineapple finials to the stepped pediment and surmounted by a Cockrell.
An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1880.
