A beautifully shaped 19th Century papier mache tray with unusual double rim. This generously proportioned tray is painted with extravagant flowers and foliage in gold and scarlet. The decoration is concentrated to the outer edges and highlights the stunning shape of this antique tray. The condition is good, the surface decoration is still bright and the design is not worn. There are minor scratches to the front and small scuffs to the back as one would expect from a piece of this age. These are minor and do not detract from the beauty of this piece, as can be seen in the photographs. As with all our pieces, more photos are available. A delightful Victorian tray that would add style to any interior, either as an eye catching wall decoration or a stunning table top.
