A lovely little tactile object. A smelling salts glass bottle cased in fine leather to protect the glass. The stopper is made of turned boxwood and is has a cork inside it to give a close tight fit.
The leather is very fine and is dark mauve and the shield with "Smelling Salts" written inside is printed in gold.

It is 2 and three quarters inches long.
The condition is very good with just minor wear to the stopper.
The date is probably late Victorian.
